Anathema 是来自英国利物浦的摇滚乐队，成立于1990年。早期与 Paradise Lost、My Dying Bride 并称为死亡厄运金属的代表乐队，以阴郁沉重的吉他音墙、死亡咆哮与旋律性段落见长。1992年首张EP《Crestfallen》和1993年首张专辑《Serenades》奠定了其厄运/死亡金属时期的面貌，但乐队并未停留于此。

1995年《The Silent Enigma》由新任主唱 Vincent Cavanagh 担纲，开始融入清嗓与复杂编曲；1996年《Eternity》和1998年《Alternative 4》进一步弱化金属元素，转向氛围、前卫与另类摇滚。1999年至2003年间，他们通过《Judgement》《A Fine Day to Exit》《A Natural Disaster》确立了自己作为前卫/另类摇滚乐队的新地位。2010年代加入 Kscope 后，又推出《We're Here Because We're Here》《Weather Systems》《Distant Satellites》等作品，音乐更加大气、旋律化，并融入后摇滚/氛围色彩。
