奥地利作曲家托马斯·拉彻（Thomas Larcher，1963年生）以细腻的音色组织与极具张力的节奏控制著称。本辑收录他四部弦乐四重奏作品：《Ixxu》以急促、神经质的音型开场，随后转向精确的极速节奏与安静冥想；《Mumien》通过不同速度层级塑造出如“木乃伊”般的时间凝固感；《Cold Farmer》则在“Groove”与“极慢”之间制造强烈反差，呈现当代音乐对节奏脉动与空间感的探索。

《My Illness Is The Medicine I Need》取材自费尔南多·佩索阿《不安之书》，为弦乐四重奏与声乐而作，六段文本以独白式口吻展开，冷静而内省，构成整张专辑中独特的人声维度。录音绵密，动态宽阔，充分体现了拉彻对声音质感、速度与沉默的精确掌控。
