《弥赛亚》（Messiah）是巴洛克时期作曲家格奥尔格·弗里德里希·亨德尔最负盛名的清唱剧，创作于1741年，1742年在都柏林首演。全剧以《圣经》经文为脚本，分为“预言与诞生”“受难与救赎”“复活与荣耀”三部分，其中《哈利路亚》合唱更是西方音乐史上最具感染力的篇章之一。本专辑由指挥家安德斯·奥尔瓦尔（Anders Öhrwall）率领相关乐团与合唱团演绎，呈现出庄重而富有内省力量的巴洛克音乐风格，被誉为该作品极具代表性的录音版本之一。
